I came across Empire of the Sun via Beyonce. I was reading an article about who she collaborated with, and discovered that Australian alternative rocker Luke Steele (one half of Empire of the Sun) wrote a song for her upcoming album.

Intrigued by this concept, I headed to YouTube to check out their music, and LOVED it. I’ve actually heard this song before, but not all the way through. It’s gorgeous. And Luke Steele is pretty hot.

But I’ve been busy!

We currently have a sale on Jane Carter Curl Defining Cream (Enter 7OFFJANE to get $7 off!) so that’s been keeping me really busy.

Also, we sailed past 1,200 orders a few days ago. Not bad for a business that’s 8 months old :)

My husband has officially taken over as business manager, which is a good thing because he works in finance, and he is SO DAMN GOOD at business!! Like, I just want to sell people products to make their hair look pretty. Meanwhile, he’s thinking about inventory strategy, marketing budgets, taxes and overhead. So, yeh, I think we make a good team :)

I’ve also loved blogging lately. I’ve been trying to increase the number of posts I put up daily. It’s so rewarding to initiate positive, insightful discussion — even if it’s about 50 Cent’s greasy jheri curl.
